Diary 2017

Well, I started this health kick again on 02.07.2017 (I’m not calling it a ‘diet’ since those are fads and never long term). I got to the point of feeling so unhealthy, unfit and unhappy that I just had to do something about it.  

My body doesn’t feel right at all and my knees hurt from carrying this weight, I can’t even go up and down the stairs without being in pain or out of breath. I sometimes have to walk downstairs sideways to avoid bending my knees so much, how stupid is that?! Also, once I get home from work I even sit by the front door for a minute just to get my breath back.

For almost 4 weeks now I have been walking for 25 minutes on my treadmill after work and have been eating healthy during the week. I’ve increased the speed on my treadmill each week. I’m currently on 3.0 which is soooooo slow considering I used to do my warm-up walk at 3.5 and then run at 5.6. But considering that I have to start slow and not push myself too early because of my back, I mustn’t get disheartened. The weekends are still bad at the moment but I plan on changing that and having one day a week where I can eat/drink anything I want.
